Exploring Puglia Workshop

This 3 or 5 day workshop is for private groups (from 2 to 5 people) and highlights the places, people and traditions that have been most meaningful to us over our past five years of building a home and a life together in Southern Italy. It is an introduction to everything that is magical about our home region: the food and wine, the people and the language, the rugged golden-hued landscape and the sea. Our aim is to highlight an often unseen Puglia, to give you a real taste of our lands and the opportunity to experience how life is lived in this special place.

Our home-base will be our newly renovated guest apartment right upstairs from our cooking studio in Piazza Castello, Altamura. The apartment features original, patterned cementina tile floors, high ceilings, vintage linen sheets and ceramics we have collected on our travels in Italy and France. It is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen/dining area and two plant filled balconies. It is best suited to a group of friends or a family looking for a thoughtfully designed home away from home.

The apartment is located on the edge of Altamura’s historical centre and is also just steps away from our favourite bakery, cheese shop, fishmonger and coffee bar. The city of Altamura is perfectly situated to visit many of our very favourite small towns and cities in Puglia, some fascinating historical sites, galleries, museums and artisan ceramic studios, wineries, and wonderful trattoria’s for lunches and dinners.

The Details

*Dates: 5 day or 3 day experiences upon request
*Fee: Price per person starts from €2800.00 for the 5 day experience and €1500 for the 3 day experience based on double occupancy. A deposit of €1000 is due to book your request
*Price includes:
*4 nights/2 nights accommodation at the Piazza Castello apartment in Altamura
*All meals, wine, refreshments, snacks, museum entrance fees
*Day trips (depending on the length of experience) may include visits to Matera, Grottaglie, Lecce, Oria, Martina Franca, Ceglie Messapica and the seaside
*Price DOES NOT include: Airfare and travel insurance
